Netflix’s Şahmaran series has achieved great success!
Netflix series Şahmaran (Shanmaran), produced by Timur Savcı and Burak Sağyaşar from TIMS&B Productions, has achieved another great success. Şahmaran, which was released worldwide on January 20, 2023, became one of the “most watched Turkish-made contents in the world” by being watched for more than 83 million hours in the first six months of the year.
According to the report in which Netflix announced the viewing rates of TV series and movies on the platform for the first time, the first season of ‘Şahmaran’ had a great impact in all countries where it was broadcast at the same time, including Turkey.
In its first week of release, Şahmaran (Shanmaran) made a rapid entry into Netflix’s list of global non-English language series, and quickly rose to second place with 33,960,000 viewing hours.
The series, starring Serenay Sarıkaya and Burak Deniz, is directed by Umur Turagay and written by Pınar Bulut.
The second season of the Şahraman (Shanmaran) series, which also includes successful names such as Mustafa Uğurlu, Mert Ramazan Demir, Mahir Günşiray, Ebru Özkan, Hakan Karahan, Nilay Erdönmez, Nil Sude Albayrak and Berfu Halisdemir, will meet the audience in 2024.
