After four years away from national television, Elçin Sangu is preparing to return to the screen in Cevher, a new Show TV series adapted from the internationally successful French drama High Intellectual Potential (HPI). She will star alongside Ertan Saban in a story that pairs an unconventional mind with a methodical police officer.
Sangu plays Cevher, a lively mother of three whose IQ of 160 gives her an extraordinary eye for detail. Her life changes when she spots a crucial clue in a murder investigation, attracting the attention of Commissioner Mert Kara, portrayed by Saban. Disciplined and committed to established procedures, Mert initially appears to have little in common with Cevher, whose intuition and unpredictable approach challenge the way he works.
As they begin tackling complex cases, their contrasting personalities promise both friction and an unusual partnership. Yet Cevher's keen intelligence cannot protect her from the unanswered questions surrounding her own past, adding a personal mystery to the criminal investigations.
Produced by Fabrika Yapım for Show TV, Cevher is led by producer Öner Arslanel, director Yüksel Aksu, and screenwriter Burcu Yılmaz. Combining crime, mystery, and character-driven storytelling, the upcoming adaptation marks a notable television comeback for Sangu.
