Halit Özgür Sarı and Özge Yağız are set to reunite on screen for Tell Me Troy, a new mini-series produced as part of Go Türkiye’s destination-focused productions. The project will take viewers to Çanakkale, with the ancient city of Troy and the surrounding region providing the setting for the story.

The two actors, who previously appeared together in the television series Black Sea Eyes (Gözlerin Karadeniz), will play former lovers Aras and Bade in the new production.

Tell Me Troy is the latest project developed within the promotional series commissioned by the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA). These productions use fictional stories and well-known Turkish actors to introduce different destinations across Türkiye to audiences at home and abroad.

This time, the focus turns to Çanakkale, a city closely associated with both ancient history and one of Türkiye’s most recognizable archaeological sites.

ARAS AND BADE REUNITE IN CANAKKALE

At the center of Tell Me Troy is the story of Aras, played by Halit Özgür Sarı, and Bade, portrayed by Özge Yağız. The two characters are former lovers whose paths cross again against the backdrop of Çanakkale’s historic landscape.

The details of their past relationship have not yet been revealed, but the premise suggests that the mini-series will combine their personal story with a journey through the region. Rather than following a traditional tourism-film structure, the production will use the relationship between Aras and Bade as the narrative connecting the locations featured throughout the series.

For Sarı and Yağız, the project also marks another screen partnership after Black Sea Eyes (Gözlerin Karadeniz). Their reunion is likely to be one of the elements that draws early attention to the mini-series, particularly among viewers familiar with their previous work together.

FILMING WILL TAKE FIVE DAYS

Uğur Yağcıoğlu and Emre Kavuk will direct Tell Me Troy. According to the announced production schedule, filming is expected to begin shortly and will be completed over five days.

The compact shooting period reflects the mini-series format, with the project designed around a focused story rather than a conventional television season.

Çanakkale and Troy will naturally play an important role in the visual identity of the production. The setting also gives the story of two former lovers an appropriate historical backdrop: a place where memory, separation and stories from the past have remained part of the cultural landscape for centuries.

Go Türkiye has increasingly turned to short-form fictional productions as another way of presenting the country’s destinations to international audiences. Instead of relying solely on traditional promotional films, these projects place locations within character-driven narratives and use the international reach of Turkish television stars as part of that strategy.

With Halit Özgür Sarı and Özge Yağız in the leading roles, Tell Me Troy will bring Aras and Bade’s unfinished story to Çanakkale, while placing one of Türkiye’s best-known historical regions at the center of the screen.
