The digital broadcaster of Nuri Bilge Ceylan’s latest movie Kuru Otlar Üstüne has been announced. It was learned that the movie will come to Netflix Turkey on March 1.
The script of the film was written by Ebru Ceylan and Akın Aksu, together with the master director.
The cast of the film Kuru Otlar Üstüne includes names such as Deniz Celiloğlu, Merve Dizdar, Musab Ekici, Ece Bağcı.
Kuru Otlar Üstüne tells the story of Samet, a teacher who was appointed to a village in the middle of Anatolia and completed his fourth year of service while waiting to be appointed to Istanbul. When Samet and his colleague Kenan are accused of harassment by two girls, Samet tries to save himself from the situation.
The Turkish premiere of the film, which represented our country at this year’s Oscar awards, took place at the Adana Golden Boll Film Festival. The film, for which Sideshow and Janus Film acquired the US rights, had its world premiere at the 76th Cannes Film Festival and Merve Dizdar returned from the festival with the Best Actress award.
