NBC’s famous series New Amsterdam is being adapted to Turkey!

The American TV series “New Amsterdam”, based on Eric Manheimer’s book Twelve Patients: Life and Death at Bellevue Hospital is being adapted for Turkey.

The series, produced by O3 Medya, will be screened on Show TV with the name “New Istanbul”. Çiğdem Bozali will sit in the director’s chair of the series, whose script is written by Ayça Üzüm and Cansu Çoban.

In the series, the new chief physician Max Goodwin, who was appointed to the oldest public hospital in America, was trying to both fix the failing aspects of the health system and make New Amsterdam a situation that could help everyone, together with the other employees of the hospital.

The cast of the series, which is expected to carry a similar story to the screen, is not yet clear.
