Combining HBO Max and Discovery+ platforms, MAX opens on May 23!

The new platform, which combines HBO Max with Discovery +, was announced this evening, along with many new projects. The joint platform called “MAX” opens in the US on May 23.

Membership to MAX in the US will be $9.99 per month with ads, $15.99 without ads, and $19.99 with the ad-free premium package. Although Discovery + content is added to HBO Max, the platform will not be closed and will continue to exist as itself. The Max is expected to arrive in Latin America in the fall and in Europe, Asia-Pacific and new markets in 2024.

The contents announced or promoted with MAX are as follows:

1) Harry Potter Series

The Harry Potter series, which was reported for the first time last week, is officially becoming a reality. Within a 10-year plan, 7 books will be adapted as a series with a new staff, and each season is planned to focus on a book. J.K. Rowling will be involved as executive producer.

2) Extension Series to Game of Thrones

“A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight” was officially announced, news of which came in January 2021. George R.R. All three short stories written by Martin will be adapted from Tales of Dunk and Egg. The book chronicles the adventures of Ser Duncan the Tall (Dunk) and the young Aegon V Targaryen (Egg). 5) The Conjuring Series

6) Welcome to Derry

7) Rick and Morty: The Anime
