Ulaş Tuna Astepe talked about the Hayat Bugün project and his new role!
Ulaş Tuna Astepe one of the leading actors of Hayat Bugün (Life Today), which is the first international adaptation of the New Amsterdam series broadcast in the USA, prepared to meet the audience on Show TV screens, talked about his new project and his role.
On Wednesday, October 19, Chief Physician Assoc. Prof.Ulaş Tuna Astepe, who will play the character of Dr. Barış Güvener (Dr. Max Goodwin), expressed his excitement with the following words;
“We will watch an unusual hospital story. In the original concept of the series, we follow the healing process of a hospital with various problems, from patient to doctor, where people are not very happy, on the axis of a playmaker chief physician. The chief physician detects the diseases of the hospital and starts the treatment. The protagonist of our story is actually this hospital. Of course, staying true to this wonderful concept, our screenwriters have produced a delightful adaptation. This is the big, crowded, well-established hospital that everyone knows and has touched the lives of many of us. A Turkish hospital with its young, old, smart and crazy.”
He described the most striking elements of the series as follows; “Hisarönü Hospital is a small country where thousands of lives pass through every day. It is a cosmopolitan shelter with young and old, smart, crazy, local and foreigners who come here with the hope of getting better. And it is the home of our health workers who work hard not because it is a profession, but because it is the basic responsibility of being human. I read a script that did justice to this sacred mission. This beautiful script invited me in, and I gladly accepted.”
Expressing that they worked very harmoniously and with a high energy on the set, Ulaş Tuna Astepe summarized the most important difference that distinguishes the project from the other TV series on the screen with the following sentences; “The whole world, and of course we, need hope. Hayat Bugün (Life Today) is a powerful answer to the question of what we can do for this cause. My dream is for people to watch this drama in their warm home, where they come tiredly, together with all their family members, feeling good and recovering, and go back to bed with a smile.”
Hayat Bugün (Life Today) begins on Show TV on Wednesday, October 19 at 20:00 with its beloved actors and its gripping and hopeful story.
