A fire broke out on the plateau of NOW’s Sunday series Şakir Paşa Ailesi (The Family of Şakir Pasha) in Kartal and the entire plateau burned down.

The film plateau of the Şakir Paşa Ailesi (The Family of Şakir Pasha) series, located in Kartal Çavuşoğlu Neighborhood, Namık Kemal Street, was completely burned down in a fire that broke out overnight. The fire, the cause of which has not yet been determined, caused great panic in the neighborhood, and the street was closed to entry and exit.

Stating that the set ended at 18.30, Fatih Aksoy, the producer of the series, said, “Şakir Paşa mansion was burned down. The fire started around 01.30, the fire broke out when no one was inside and the plateau was empty. It was 02.30 when we got the news. When we went, the decor was completely burnt. The cause is unknown at the moment. The fire department is investigating. It will be determined in the report. We have a broadcast this week, the next episode is at risk.” In the morning, both crews of the series were informed that the shooting had stopped.

The descendants of the Şakir Paşa Family released a statement last week and said “The series is being filmed without our permission”. The great-grandson’s child also filed a lawsuit to stop the broadcast, but the request was given a decision of non-prosecution.
