Born on May 19, 1983, in Adana, Barış Yurtçu is best known as the lead vocalist and co-founder of the rock band Kolpa. Founded in 2005 with Bora Yeter, the group quickly rose to prominence, becoming one of the recognizable names in Turkey’s alternative rock landscape.
Under Yurtçu’s direction, Kolpa achieved major milestones, including winning the “Best Group” award at the 2012 Turkcell Music Awards. One of their standout tracks, “Böyle Ayrılık Olmaz,” gained even wider recognition after being featured in the popular TV series Pis Yedili.
