Cem Yiğit Üzümoğlu talked about the movie Aşk Mevsimi!
Cem Yiğit Üzümoğlu, one of the most talented actors of the young generation, stars in Murat Şeker’s new romantic movie Aşk Mevsimi.
The love between Ali Yaman, played by Cem Yiğit Üzümoğlu, and Şirin, played by Dilan Çiçek Deniz, that begins in Bozcaada, extends over the years and eventually to Istanbul.
Episode Magazine had an interview with Cem Yiğit Üzümoğlu about the movie Aşk Mevsimi, which was released on February 2, 2024. The successful actor talked about the movie he starred in and the character Ali Yaman he played.
You are a somewhat selective player. Why did you want to take part in Love Season? What attracted you to this movie? Could you tell us a little about your character in Love Season? Ali, what kind of person is he?
What attracts me most is that I see a lot of myself in the character. I envisioned how much fun I would have while trying to create this character. Some characters come into the world naturally pessimistic, no effort can make them happy, but I can say the opposite for this character. Ali Yaman seems to have a frivolous childishness and good will that manages to shake off the invisible pain of fate every time.
So, what are the aspects of Ali Yaman’s personality that are most similar to and most opposite to you?
His ability to transform, his ability to learn from the mistakes of his past and try to move towards a life that will make him happy, but he still doesn’t know if this is right or not. The aspect that contrasts me the most is that it is quite arabesque.
You shot in a pleasant environment like Bozcaada. How was the set? What did you do in your free time from filming?
Bozcaada was truly beautiful. The set went well too. When one doesn’t just want to sleep or get lost; Island life, food and sea are enjoyable and beautiful. Since our set was quite peaceful, we generally took a break without getting tired and went swimming a lot and benefited from the island’s blessings.
Will we see you in other projects soon?
Unfortunately, I don’t have any projects about to start as an actor right now. There were a couple of theater projects that I have wanted to do for a long time, and if I can, I want to focus on them.
