Bringing together İlhan Şen and Özge Yağız in the leading roles, Safir (Sapphire) series met with its audience on ATV screen with its first episode on Monday, September 4, with the slogan “A love story that remains hidden”.

The shooting of the series, which appeared before the audience with its ambitious story started in July in the fascinating atmosphere of Cappadocia.

Burcu Över and Gül Abus Semerci write the screenplay of the series, which has an impressive story and produced by Fatih Aksoy and Mehmet Yiğit Alp. Also Semih Bağcı is the director of the Safir series.

Synopsis of the of Safir series is as follows;

Safir series, which stands out as “A Hidden Love Story”, tells the story of the Gülsoy family getting lost on dangerous roads full of passion, passion, revenge and bullying tests that change overnight.

Gülsoy family, one of the leading families of Cappadocia, come together after their eldest son Ateş returns from America. Having lost his father in a traffic accident at a young age, Ateş did not bow to the overwhelming authority of his grandfather Ömer and left the house. After many years, at the request of his mother Gülfem, he returned to his home with his brothers Yaman and Okan to take over and expand the family business from his grandfather. It is time for Ateş, Yaman and Okan to unite.

With his brother’s return, Yaman decides to propose to his girlfriend Feraye. Feraye lost her mother at a young age; is a young and beautiful girl full of hope, a senior university student, living with her father Muhsin, her brother Çetin, her aunt Nesrin, her nephew Eren, her stepmother Cemile and her daughter Aleyna. His father, Muhsin, has been working with the Gülsoy family for many years. She and Yaman have been experiencing their first love, hidden from everyone since their childhood. When Yaman was a little boy, he secretly took the family heirloom Sapphire ring from his mother Gülfem and proposed to Feraye. While Feraye and Yaman are counting the days to get married, confessing their great love by risking everything, a tragedy upsets all the balances.

The disaster that befell Yaman’s brother Okan on Feraye’s birthday night turns into a stalemate full of dangers and turns everyone’s lives upside down. Feraye and Yaman are about to get lost on dangerous roads full of tests of love, passion, revenge and bullying.

İlhan Şen as Ateş Gülsoy

He is the eldest son of the Gülsoy family. Educated abroad, he is free-spirited, polite, moderate, honest and fair. However, he is extremely uncompromising when the other person goes beyond his limits. He grew up in a well-known, wealthy family in Cappadocia. He lost his father in a traffic accident at a young age. Their relationship has been in conflict since childhood, as his grandfather Ömer knows no boundaries to impose his authority and will. After his father died, his mother put him in the place of his father, and Ateş actually became a father figure in the family because he expected all the attention and protection from him. His mother Gülfem and his brothers Yaman and Okan are his most precious ones.

Özge Yağız as Feraye Yılmaz

Feraye is a beautiful girl living in Cappadocia. She is a senior student at the Fashion Design Department at the Faculty of Fine Arts. His father is the most experienced employee of the Gülsoy family, one of the leading families in the region. Feraye lost her mother at a very young age. After the loss of his mother, his father became ill and confined to a wheelchair, he remarried so that he could have a woman at home. Feraye is subjected to bullying at the hands of her stepmother. This situation teaches him to protect himself and stand on his own feet. She is a hard-working, honest, faithful person who believes in the power of love and is loyal. They spent their childhood together with the Gülsoys’ middle son, Yaman. What they both have in common is that they are children who cannot experience their mother’s love. They became each other’s first friends, first and last love.

Burak Berkay Akgül as Yaman Gülsoy

He is the middle son of the Gülsoy family. He doesn’t remember his father, who he lost at a young age. Her mother Gülfem’s favorite child is her big brother Ateş. Yaman, along with his brother Okan, always remained in the background for their mother. After Ateş left home when he was a small child, he had to submit to the authority of his grandfather Ömer in order to maintain the balance in the family. He found the love that he could not receive from his mother in Feraye, with whom he grew up, and he remained devoted to her since his childhood. Although he does not receive love from his family, he is an exciting and romantic person who can risk anything for his loved ones and can take on the world when the time comes. His biggest dream is to marry Feraye and give the love he has never experienced until now to both himself and the family he will create.

İpek Tuzcuoğlu as Gülfen Gülsoy

She is the daughter-in-law of the Gülsoy family. She is a vigorous, well-groomed, educated and beautiful woman. She lost her husband Ahmet at a young age and never married again. She met her husband, who is a member of a well-known and wealthy family of Cappadocia, while he was a university student in Istanbul, and they got married happily. She gave birth to three sons named Ateş, Yaman and Okan. He has a good relationship with his father-in-law Ömer. Except for the sadness of her husband’s death, Gülfem has not suffered a single day. Among his children, his eldest son, Ateş, has a special place and is even dependent on him. He is very fond of his other two sons, although not as much as Ateş. Ömer is the grandfather of the Gülsoy family. After his son died in a traffic accident, he fought for his three grandchildren. He is an old-fashioned man who thinks he knows everything best. Ömer Gülsoy, who wants his grandchildren at his feet, wants to partner with Vural Bakırcı and establish a textile factory, but when he gets into a joint business with Vural, he is forced to get involved in shady business.

Born in Cappadocia, he is the child of a poor family. He is an ambitious man who wants to have power and has been abandoned by his family. For this reason, he is someone who has established himself in the dark side of the business world and has achieved great financial gain. He has two grown children named Bade and Bora and he is very fond of them. He can engage in any dangerous game for money and his family. She met Ömer Gülsoy’s son Ahmet when he was a child. Vural, whose only thing missing is reputation, aims to gain this deficiency through his partnerships with Ömer Gülsoy.
