Synopsis of the of Ateş Kuşları (Firebirds) series is as follows;

Most street children do not reach the age of twenty. It cannot be said that those who see it are actually alive too. Drugs, violence, sexual harassment, hunger, cold… The fate of street children is either prison or grave… Five of these children manage to resist this fate.

This story begins when five street children who call themselves Köksüzler find a forty-day-old baby in a dumpster. Despite all the hardships and pains in this process, the children who are deeply connected to each other do their best to resist their destiny.

İlayda Ateş as Gülayşe Ateş

The lost baby of Eyüboğlu mansion is the youngest member of the Firebirds. One night, the “rootless people” find Gülayşe, who was thrown into the street by a woman, and raise her. Gülayşe knows Mercan as her mother and Ali as her father. Zıpkın, Kara and Sabit accepted him as his brothers.

Hande Soral as Mercan Ateş

She is the little mother of firebirds… She bury her great love Ali in her heart. She becomes a mother to the rootless. Her biggest fear is the possibility of Çatal finding them and losing Gülayşe. She is very afraid that this family, to which she devoted her life, will one day break up.

Burak Tozkoparan as Barbaros

Barbaros is a fearless cop. Barbaros, who gave justice to his work, came from nothing; therefore, he knows well what absence means. He grew up in the mansion of Barbaros Nizam. His mother, Şirin, is a maid in Nizam’s mansion. Nizam Eyüboğlu, with whom he grew up, makes Barbaros the policeman to find his daughter. Barbaros’ biggest goal is to find Lara, Nizam’s missing daughter. Lara is actually Gülayşe.

Görkem Sevindik as Ali Ateş

Ali, the head of the Rootless, is also the protector of the Ateş Kuşları (Firebirds). He knows Mercan’s love for him, and therefore he suffers from a severe remorse; because he knows that this love is impossible. Ali is the one who finds and raises Gülayşe, protects and watches. Ali accidentally stabbed and killed Gülayşe’s own mother. Ali was a murderer when he was a child. Gül is aware that Ayşe is the daughter of a wealthy family, but she cannot tell anyone anything.

Erdem Şanlı as Zıpkın Ateş

Zıpkın met Mercan in the orphanage and knew her as her older sister when she was still in the orphanage. He escaped from the orphanage with Mercan and never left the orphanage. He is a member of the Köksüzler group. He is a fearless man who knows Ali as his brother and will do anything for the Ateş Kuşları (Firebirds).

Emir Çubukçu as Sabit Ateş

Sabit was born as an autistic child and his family could not stand him and left him on the street. Ali and Mercan found Sabit on the street and became a family to him. Since he is autistic, he can’t stay still and shakes. When he starts counting and calls something mine, he has an obsession with never quitting. He is fond of all Firebirds, but he is most possessive of Gülayşe.

Nizam Namidar as Nizam

Nizam Eyüboğlu is a good-hearted man who takes Barbaros’s hand and turns him into a police officer. He has a daughter named Lara and has been missing for a long time. Nizam asks the inspector Barbaros, whom he loves like his son, to find his daughter. Although 23 years have passed, Nizam’s pain is as fresh as yesterday.

Serkan Ercan as Menderes

Menderes is Nizam’s brother. He is also Hüma’s father. A good businessman, Menderes runs a well-established company on behalf of his brother Nizam.

Boncuk Yılmaz as Nazmiye

Nazmiye is the bride of the mansion and also the wife of Menderes. Nazmiye, who is also Hüma’s mother, is a dangerous woman. For years, she has not been able to persuade Menderes to go to a separate house, and therefore she is angry with her husband. She is a flirtatious woman, but also tactless and jealous.
